Getting started
Sign in
Open placesbuilder.online and sign in with your work or school Microsoft account. Personal Microsoft accounts are not supported.
The first time, Microsoft asks you to allow Places Builder to sign you in and read your basic profile. In some organisations only an administrator may approve apps. If you see “needs admin approval”, ask your Entra administrator to approve Places Builder for your organisation.
Your organisation’s workspace
Each organisation (Entra tenant) has its own workspace. Offices, floors and plans are kept separate from those of other organisations.
- The first person from your organisation who signs in becomes the owner of the workspace.
- Everyone else needs an invitation from the owner. Without one they see a screen saying that an invitation is required, with the owner’s name and address partly hidden.
Invite colleagues (owner)
Open Team in the menu. Add a colleague by the e-mail address they sign in with, and remove people or withdraw an invitation there as well. When the colleague signs in, they join your workspace and see the same offices.
A workspace has room for 25 people, including open invitations. Only the owner manages the team. See limits for the other limits of a workspace.
Sign out
Click your name at the bottom of the menu and choose Sign out.
