Admin approval (for IT admins)
If people in your organisation see “Need admin approval” when they sign in to Places Builder, your organisation lets only administrators approve apps. An administrator can approve Places Builder once for everyone.
What you approve
Places Builder only signs people in with their work account and reads their basic profile: name, e-mail address and a unique ID. It does not read mail, files, calendars or Places data, and it cannot change anything in your directory. The app belongs to the operator of Places Builder; approving it adds an enterprise application to your tenant, which you can remove again at any time.
Approve
Enter your organisation’s domain or tenant ID and choose Approve Places Builder. Microsoft shows what you are approving. Afterwards you land on a confirmation page.
Other ways
- In the Microsoft Entra admin center, open Enterprise applications → Admin consent requests. If your organisation enabled the admin consent workflow, users can request approval themselves and you find the request there.
- Not sure who your administrators are? Ask your IT department and send them this page.
Remove the approval
In the Entra admin center, open Enterprise applications, choose Places Builder Online (production) and delete it. Users can then no longer sign in to Places Builder.
